As Jewel continues work on her new album, several pieces of information have been coming out considering Jewel's 4th record. These pieces of information have been collaged below for your convenience, but these are not yet the official ones from Jewel's management team Jewel's regarding her progresses in the album, information which we should expect in about a month.
(Referring to Jewel's appearance at the Country Music Awards held on the 13th of June)
NOTE:
Jewel also performed at the Country Music Awards held on September 1999, when she did a duet with Merle Haggard of his song, 'That's The Way Love Goes', available on Merle's "For The Record: 43 Legendary Hits" record, where Jewel does not only duet in 'That's The Way Love Goes' but also in 'Silver Wings' and, furthermore, proves herself a facile country singer.
(Referring to John Kurzweg's schedule)
(Referring to Shane's news)
NOTE:
Peripatetic producer John Kurzweg has been up to his eyebrows
in work, as usual. Kurzweg was in the Big Apple recently
recording three songs for Eagle-Eye Cherry (son of jazz
trumpeter Don and brother of singer Neneh). While there, he was
interviewed by pop poetess Jewel about recording a song or two
for her next album. Sure enough, Kurzweg was called to
Nashville, where he recorded one song for Jewel and will return
to do a couple more later this month.
In other news, Shane co-wrote a song with Jewel when he was in Bosnia during the USO and they may write another one, too, at a later date.
Remember that Itaal Shur has co-written several songs with Jewel for her next album, two of which may actually be included. It is also possible that Itaal Shur may co-produce the tracks with her.
