Although Jewel has only released two albums, there are many concert tapes floating around and,
as a rough guess, there are over 250 different songs captured by fans.
Angelfood are Jewel's live recordings from concert and/or media appearances captured by fans which are freely distributed and traded by fellow EDAs (Everyday Angels) under Jewel's consent in the form of audio/video tapes or CDs. This is the official term adopted by the EDAs to refer to what is popularly know as the term 'bootleg'. However, Angelfood tapes are not bootlegs if you take into consideration the real meaning of the word 'bootleg'. Angelfood tapes are authorized copies and distributed for free. It is through these Angelfood tapes that you discover the many talented facets of Jewel and you also get to hear a considerable amount of her greatest songs. |
